Walk along the high Alpine ridges before descending back to the coast. This is one of the great coastal mountain hikes overlooking the Mediterranean sea.

Day 2: Full day hike to a mountain refuge at over 1000m above the sea.
Day 3: Full day hike along a high coastal ridge before the descent back down to the sea.

TRIP DETAILS
The following describes the 3-night option. For the 1-night option, we meet in the resort village and follow the itineraries of days 2 and 3.

Day 1: arrive on the Ponente Riviera.
We'll meet you in the resort village and take you to your hotel. Evening in the resort village. Arrange to arrive at any time in the day. View photos of this very pretty seaside village.

Day 2: From the coast to the Beigua Alps.
6 to 8 hrs, mountain hike. Graded: RED.
The hike starts with a climb up through the cultivated terraces above the resort village before traversing a river gorge at the base of the high coastal Alps. A long and varied climb through a wild and rugged terrain takes you up onto the Alpine ridges overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Finish the day by summiting one of the nearby peaks before settling into an evening of warm hospitality and wonderful mountain food. Our Comment: Full day, 'uphill' walking itinerary. Day 3: From the high Alpine ridges down to the coast.
6 to 8 hrs, mountain hike. Graded: RED.
The day starts with a 3 hour hike along an alpine ridge at 1000m above the sea. Walk all morning with views over the Gulf of Genova before taking lunch in a mountain lodge or on one of the coastal peaks. The afternoon hike takes you on a long, long descent through some of the regions most exposed landscapes. Birds of prey, deer and wild pig are generally the only others you'll find on the mountains in these parts. Evening to relax back in your hotel on the coast. Day 4: Departure day, from the Ponente Riviera.
For those leaving by train, we'll take you to the local station at any time so arrange your return flights at whatever time during the day you prefer.
