Day of Arrival: travel to the Riviera dei Fiori.
Holiday starts on the Italian/French border. For those flying to Nice: bus from airport to Nice Ville main railway station, then train to Ventimiglia - allow 2 hours travel time between airport and Ventimigia. For those flying to Genoa: bus from airport to Genova main railway station, train to Ventimiglia - allow 3h30 travel time between airport and Ventimiglia. For those driving, head for Ventimiglia on the Italian/French border.

Day 2: Nervia Back Country Pools.
Self-guided walk and swim itinerary: Visit one of the most idyllic villages you can ever imagine, immersed in a lush valley of Mediterranea vegetation. Then take a walk up the gorge to find your perfectly formed, private place amongst the pools. Full or half-day activity. Our Comment: This place is truly amazing - walking sandals and swimming gear are essential kit for this wonderful day out in an idyllix 'garden of eden', seemingly untouched by time.
Day 3: Monte Carlo and Menton.
Self-guided sightseeing itinerary by train. A choice of three full day itineraries that take you to the most beautiful towns and villages along this truly wonderful coast. Itinerary 1 takes you to Menton in France and the glitz of Monte Caerlo. Itinerary 2 takes you to Ventimiglia, Bordighera and San Remo. Itinerary 3 takes you to Imperia and Alassio. Each of these tours make use of the railway service that follows the Mediterranean coast. Our Comment: Possibly the best way to experience the true atmosphere of the Riviera.
Day 4: 2K Peak Hike.
Escorted 4x4 assisted hiking itinerary. An amazingly gentle hike to the top of the most southerly 2000m peak in the Alps. Our Comment: A truly spectacular mountain experience, in one of the most beautiful landscapes of the southern Alps.
Day 5: San Remo and Bordighera.
For those who want a 'soft' introduction to canyoning followed by a walk through old chestnut forests to a medieval viallge.
Day 6: 4x4 safari hike.
A big day out to the highest peak in Liguria by 4x4. Up early and a rough and bumpy ride by 4x4 to the top of this most iconic peak at 2200m. Lunch on the peak before an afternoon hike back down. This tour carries a supplementary charge of €40pp. Our Comment: Now and again you sit and look out into wide and distant horizons, contemplating the sheer beauty of our natural world - this is one of those spots to feel so happy to be alive !
